Cosplaying is when weebs try to imitate or want to dress up like the anime characters they love. It is basically as Kitagawa-san said, an ultimate form of love for the anime and the anime characters. Cosplaying is a weebs way of saying that she/he loves a character. Cosplaying is an element of self insert for the characters you love. What if we make an anime about cosplaying. These are the things that came to mind at the studio of clover works. Today and this season we got a show about cosplaying. This is my review of it and I can tell that It was a good first impression.
Who are the characters
One thing that will make me love the show is its characters. Character is the one that will carry out the show even if it’s the story and plot don’t take you anywhere as long as the story has some interesting characters on it. It will be satisfying and fun watching if the character will carry out the show. As for me, I am genuinely curious about characters rather than the plot. I am more interested in people rather than the circumstances. Furthermore, these are the character of the show.
Gojo-kun
He Is your typical nerd with a healthy obsession with Hina dolls. What makes him interesting to me is that he was a skilled person that loves these things called Hina dolls. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with liking some things or loving things, as long as you don’t hurt other people, go for it. I will cheer you on your hobbies. If you ask me, gojo Kun has an interesting hobby even though it separates him from all the crowd.
Hina dolls are probably a culture in Japan. I once made these types of dolls in my country once even though I am not Japanese. It is a doll made of corn as a school project in my high school days. Watching it on this anime kinda reminds me of the time I used to make those dolls way back in my high school. I think, I kinda connect to the character a bit because of that. There is nothing wrong with making these types of dolls as a hobby. One thing that hobby is good to you is that hobbies are therapeutic things that will make our brains work properly. Gojo making dolls as a hobby is pretty normal.
Kitagawa-san
I like her character in this anime because she is your friendly character. She is easy to be a friend with those people that is friendly towards her. She also has some kind of a picky mentality when comes to the ones that she didn’t like, which is a pretty normal thing to do. She is a type of character that is easily curious about things that are new and interesting. One easy way of making friends is that you should get easily interested in someone else and just listen about the things that there in to. Once you do this type of stuff, you can gain a friend that is easier than you can talk to. In our case, that type of person is Kitagawa san. She isn’t afraid to listen to other people's interests, just like what she did on gojo Kun as he finds out his hobby. The way this character do to its surrounding is rather satisfying to watch. I like her as a character in this series and she is perfectly fit for gojo Kun.
What the anime is all about
The anime is all about the two of our protagonists meeting each other and trying cosplaying. Gojo will be the one that will make the cosplay uniform and Kitagawa san will be the one that will dress up as a cosplayer. It is a slice of life anime that revolves around this couple on the way and how they find each other in the process. It is probably a romance type of show because they look perfect towards each other. The two of them probably will have some kind of romantic tension while doing all of the cosplaying stuff. Either way, I am looking forward to watching this anime every week. It has a good premise that is resonating to all weebs who cosplays out there.
It is a show that looks promising. A show that I will watch every week. I like the characters and the premise about cosplaying.
