It was an exhilarating experience experiencing the things that happened in this anime. In/specter is an anime that came out in 2021. It was heartwarming and fun sprinkled with action on scenes that will make your blood pump upon each frame it shows. It is a good anime in my opinion and I will make a post out of it.
Who are the characters
Kotoko-san
She is what you’ll call a loli stereotype in the anime community. She always wore flashy clothes matching with a small hat. By the time the anime ends she turns out to be 19 years old However when the anime is just starting she was 17. What matters in the end, she was at legal age so probably the author of the anime wants his character to some kind of waifu material just like any other waifus out there. She is also kinda disabled with 1 on her eye and one of her feet. By watching this character you have this feeling that you need to watch over her, even though she is only a character in an anime. There is something about disabled people that will make you subconscious want to protect them. In our case, we wanted to protect Kotoko san from all sadness because she deserves happiness in her life. She deserves a person that will love her and take care of her for the rest of her life,
Kuro-kun
He is the one that takes care of Kotoko san in this anime. I pretty much like this character to match with the protagonist of the show. He is level headed and kinda cool looking guy. Like those protagonists looking characters from a manhwa. Even though she is probably a womanizer because he was in love with 3 girls in this series. He was in love with his blood-related cousin, while having an affair with a police officer, and now a disabled underage has crushing over her. Sometimes, I don’t like him but sometimes I liked him.
Saki-san
She is a police officer that was Kuro's previous lover. Both of them have a previous relationship together and now broke up because of the things that happened in the anime. When the two of them face a demon in the form of Kapa(a Japanese monster famous in Japan that lives rivers) She was scared to death looking at the horrible creature. However when she saw that Kuro wasn’t scared by the Kapa. She is more scared at Kuro now more than Kapa. Resulting in the have broken up of the process.
What the anime is all about
It is an anime about our protagonist solving mysteries of the supernatural by doing detective work on it. The anime was pretty much like detective Conan but put a sprinkle of supernatural elements on the plate and you will get this anime. The supernatural elements on this anime are in my opinion good combination with the detective elements. It is a creative way of storytelling that will get you the feeling of mystery. You wanted to know what will happen at the end of the mystery. What happened on the mystery and you wanted to know more about the things revolving around this world. One thing that hook me was the fantasy aspect of the supernatural elements of the show. What happened to the protagonist was kinda messed up. The supernatural creatures wanted to have their goddess of wisdom because most of the supernatural creatures have some kind of low intelligence similar to that of animals. They need someone who will guide them to do things properly in this world. There is only one catch of becoming a goddess to these monsters. Take away one eye and one foot. For the protagonist to be the goddess of these creatures the creatures should take away her one foot and one eye. Leaving her to disable. If you ask me, it was a pretty dark element that makes the mystery even more interesting.
What I like about the show
I like the character design of Kotoko. She is somewhat cute to look at. She wears a dress all the time including in fights over monsters and elements of evil. I also like the part of the ending song where both of the protagonists dance in a ballroom with some kind of jazzy-like music type of J-pop song at the ending of the show. Another likable thing that happened on this show was the interaction between the couple. Kuro, that male lead pretty much did not want Kotoko in his life, however, Kotoko is passionate over Kuro leading them to be ended up with each other on this anime. I like them as a couple they look like they are perfectly matched with each other. The personality of Kotoko is well done as well, whenever the comedic scene lights up the atmosphere she was the main source of it. Also, at the darkest and series scene of the show, she was the star and the main attraction of the scenes. I pretty much like how the way Kotoko is a character in this series. Amongst all the characters of the show, she is the most I adore.
What I Don’t like about the show
the part when the male lead wasn’t all interested in Kotoko was kinda annoying to look at. When Kuro always shows the viewers that he didn’t like Kotoko is kinda hard to look at. The way He has a crush on the villain and his cousin was also the thing I kinda didn’t like about his character. The time when leaves Kotoko to find his cousin is the thing I don’t like about. He leaves Kotoko alone fighting the villain to find the real culprit of the main situation they were in is the thing I pretty much didn’t like about his character. Overall, some of the stuff Kuro has done wasn’t really to my liking.
Seeing things only you can understand
There are things in this world that we don’t understand. Understanding some things makes our brain burst out and explode. Things that we don’t understand are pretty much normal but what if, there is some knowledge only you know, that other people don’t know. Knowledge and wisdom separate you from the crowd. All of this is shown by the animator through the protagonist Kotoko. She is the only one who knows a thing that normal people don’t know. The knowledge that is separating you from the grain of sands on the beach. What will you do with it? What is your reaction? The thing that I probably take away upon watching this anime is that it is pretty normal for a human beings to have the knowledge they only know. Probably you and I have some kind of unique knowledge that separates us from the crowd. A knowledge that finds us different from any other grains in the sands out there. Seeing things only you can understand is pretty normal. It is your point of you and you can interpret it whatever you want. Knowing things only you can understand.
You need a partner in your life
Another good thing that happened in this anime is that you need someone in your life. Like what happened on this anime. Kotoko is passionate about Kuro. In the end, both of them ended up with each other. All of these things came out naturally. Kotoko helps Kuro overcome his past and Kuro helped her on her fight against evil supernatural things in that anime. Both of them are a perfect match for each other. A couple even though both of them have different types of personalities however both of them are close and help each other.
It was a solid anime to watch. These are the things I liked about the show and the are thing I don’t like But at the end of it all, it was a good experience watching the couple fighting and loving each other.
