Episode 4 of lovelive where our protagonist was finally
able to establish their club because they won an award for the idol performance they participated in. It is truly a glorious moment for kanon and Keke's last episode however on this episode the focus wasn’t solely on the event. This episode is solely focused on their new love live idol group member named Sumire Chan. In this blog, you will be able to see that this is also focused on Sumire.
Sumire was introduced
I find it fascinating that the Word “Sumire” is mostly similar to the word “summer” which means a sunny season perfectly matches her sunny personality. She was introduced because she wanted to have many followers online or getting scouted by talents. It is kinda funny how she said that she was in showbiz to kanon and keke that they were convinced that she was the real thing however in reality she was only a child actor who is used to be on an isopod role once. Don’t get me wrong that isopod is cute and all however Sumire was able to cringe at his backstory by just looking at it. This is normal of course because sometimes I also cringe at the stuff I previously did in my life. This way I sometimes find myself on Sumire in a particular manner. She is mostly a relatable character because she was a terrible person inside. She joined them and then immediately quit upon hearing tang Keke's passive-aggressive word in her mouth. Overall, upon watching the episode I can conclude that Sumire wasn’t your typical new member, she has an attitude that is probably useful for their group onwards.
Her Backstory is kinda funny
That scene where kanon finds out what “showbiz” Sumire was working on her previous years was hilarious. The voice acting on that scene really carried that scene very much and I found myself smiling the whole scene at that moment. All jokes aside tho, Sumire was a child actor who was desperate to be a star again on stage. She was cast on pretty ridiculous roles such as being a tree, being grass, and being an isopod. Her isopod video is so cute while wearing those things, even kanon complemented her isopod video. In all seriousness tho, it is a cry for help because she all wanted in life was to be on the star stage again.
Her personality is hard to get along with
Even tho we see the reason why she was desperate for the center spot n this episode, we also see that she has an attitude. This is kinda expected to child actresses who has a background of people cheering her all the time when they were a kid, resulting to them to become a narcissistic individual when they grow up. We see this sign by watching this episode. She joined the club and then quit the very next day because she can’t handle the passive-aggressive complement of tang Keke. Sometimes narcissistic personality when seen as an extroverted person can lead to an inharmonious group. But this is anime so anything is all fine and dandy.
The episode is solely focused on Sumire Chan. We also laughed at his personality that was developed from her childhood because she was a child actress who had done an isopod role.
