New year, new anime season. We are leaving 2021 and welcoming 2022. Not only the world is coming back and embracing the new normal this year but also the weebs with their anime are embracing the new year. It's time to watch another season of anime. This anime is the first seasonal anime I have ever watched this year and it is a good sign that it was a good show. This year probably will be a good year in anime.
Its an idol anime
The topic is revolving around a girl that wants to become an idol. This type of topic is on my radar these days and when this type of topic is in place expect me to be there. Idols are a really interesting topic in my opinion. It is about chasing a dream and fulfilling it. It is an optimist anime. In all honesty, I need optimism in my life especially in these times where the world is a place where your mind can’t comprehend. You and I need to be optimistic about the things that will help us in this world overcome.
The art is really good
It is really noticeable how the studio has done this anime justice. It was a real work of art. The way the background art was drawn makes the whole anime alive. The way the character design was created is expressive. In each scene, you can tell the amount of effort the studio has put into their show is really admirable. These are the scene that will make someone's heart melt whenever they see the animation that comes to life using this medium. We all need beauty in our life. Beauty is what makes the world a better place. Beauty gives humanity peace and calmness. Beauty is heaven's gift to the world. Humanity needs beauty because it is one way our consciousness develops. If we recognize beauty we become more aware of the stuff that happens in this world. As we recognize beauty in our surroundings we become better persons. In this anime, I like how the studio made their anime a very beautiful one and all I can say to them is thank you.
What happened
The plot goes around a normal girl that recently move into a place where she was new to a school. She has a little sister which in my opinion made me closer to her. I also have a cute little sister which I think is a nice coincidence. The self inserting element is really resembling which is what makes an anime great. Once you make your audience self insert themselves to the protagonist, it will make your audience's attention to your anime longer. They will engage with the anime and their attention will not wander around when watching your show.
The protagonist goes to buy and helps her mother choose her school uniform. This if you look at it closely is only a scene where mother and daughter go to the store and buy stuff. But how these scenes are done using animation is kinda satisfying to watch. It is was a really touching scene even though there isn’t drama involved yet in the series.
The background music really complements the art on every scene of this anime.
One scene on the anime that resonate with me personally
I like one scene of this anime where the blonde girl was nail cutting her nail and told our protagonist that it was her way of calming down herself. This scene is personally resonating. There are things in this world that are really naturally calming. Washing dishes, cleaning, washing your cars and etc. These things are actually calming to your psyche. Whenever you engage yourself in this stuff it helps you find some kind of inner peace. Enjoying yourselves on a work like this once will give your soul peace and tranquility.
The Bad
The good elements of the show are really on its art. Some things on this anime will make some critics raise an eyebrow on this masterpiece-looking anime. My only criticism of the show is its over-the-top suggestive and lustful animation. Don’t get me wrong, I like the art on this show but every time these very suggestive scenes pop up on the anime, it takes me off. But if you don’t look into this type of stuff, it is a good show.
It is really a good show to start the year. The good and the bad.
