Pride of orange episode 4 review

This is a review on an anime show called the pride of orange. This is the 4th episode of the show and it's kinda one of the episodes that are a kinda feel-good slice of life elements sprinkled all over the place. If you are new and curious about this show, it's about a bunch of girls wanting to be the best ice hockey players that they can be. In the anime, they already achieved this title because they beat Canada on the world's stage. This is their journey as they get closer to their dreams and goals in their ice hockey hobby. This is my 4th review on the series, and this is what I noticed on the show,

There is one year cap on the timeline

In this episode, there is some kind of time skip on the story ever since the protagonist left her childhood friend and transferred to another school. In this episode, they graduate and become high schoolers. I was surprised because I never thought that they were just middle schoolers when I first started watching the show. I thought they were high schoolers already from episode one at the start. It is a time skip because the studio didn’t show us that the girls graduated from their middle school. Luckily though they all become schoolmates and classmates when they became high schoolers. Which is pretty convenient because it is anime. All luck will be on their hand and the characters plus their circumstances have been blessed by their authors and directors. For those of you who don’t know before they were high schoolers, they were from different schools and just meet because they all decided to play ice hockey because they think it was cool. In the end, they all ended up as classmates because the author probably wants it to happen.

Passing the exam

In this episode, the girls have this kind of exam for them to pass the ice hockey team. The girls will take this test of writing and physical examination for them to be able to join and become pro athletes. In real life, this is happening, especially because I experience this type of exam when I joined the volleyball team at our school. I also tried once with the tracking team and they also test us. Unfortunately, I didn’t pass that exam and ended up on the volleyball team. Point is, they are this test on the sports team you want to join and if you failed it you will not able to join the team. In my opinion, I like how the studio put these details on their anime, in my opinion, it's making the anime more appealing because the studio put a little bit of realism into their anime. I like the examination thing on this episode.

Yu is joining their team

She is probably the one that will carry the girls to stardom. She looks like that type of person that has some kind of prodigy and expert at something on her. She has this vibe of eliteness and sophistication. She probably will give the W’s on our girl's team on the anime. I look forward to seeing more about this character and how is she going to interact with our girls.

It was a nice episode, in my opinion, even we didn't see what happened to the one-year time skip. Nonetheless, it was a good episode because of the examination that happened and the new character that probably an actual pro come out to help them.
