This is my opinion on the episode of the selection project. It is an idol anime similar to that American idol kinda troope except it is a Japanese anime with moe girl on it. I decided to make a blog on this anime since, this couple of months, I kinda liked this genre of a slice of life thingy with sparkle of moe elements on them. The selection project hit the spot on what I am looking for this couple of months even if I find the 3d not appealing, but I can work with that. I only want the story of this kind of show that’s why I am into that. This is my opinion on the show and put a grain of salt on it.
The music band
In this episode, these idols chose the instruments such as bass, drums, and guitar. They performed a bandy-esk type kinda rock musical performance on the anime stage. The idol performing this song is kinda composed of three members, each of them mastering an instrument. Kasumi's sister is on base, the blue-haired girl that has plenty of sisters and brothers on the drum, and the kawaii uwu girl on lead guitar.
To be honest I found this performance to my liking, maybe because I can also play an instrument. I can play the drums, not to brag about it, but I can somehow relate myself to them performing on stage. The way they fight with each other reminds me of my high-school classmate bandmates. I think I like it because of that. I also like the 3d animations on this one maybe because I was kinda immune to it by now. I play games on 3d, games like bandori all the time. I kinda like it somehow. The band, the music, and the performance, I’ll give it a thumbs up.
She looks like Kasumi from bandori
This girl looks like Kasumi from bandori. For those of you who don’t know what is bandori. It's kinda the shortcut name for the word bang dream!!. It is a mobile rhythm game that is quite cutesy moe girls playing band instruments at their school as musicians. It also has an anime. It is a slice-of-life anime that tackles the normal life of this girl on the anime. The main protagonist of the said game and anime is named “Kasumi” they looked similar to each other.
I found it kinda funny when I first saw this character on the tv. I said to myself, wait what happens to Kasumi, why does she have a fang, and why does she have an UwU mouth. They both have this cat ears like hair on them. I found it interesting in my opinion, this is not accidental. Maybe the character designer of the selection project wants to appeal to the bandori fans when making this character. Maybe it works, maybe not. I don’t know.
