Watching a show that is you know gives you what you expected is rather satisfying to watch. When you manage your expectation and that expectation is met, the turnout will be rather enjoyable. In our case, I expected this anime to be what it is, a slow, relaxing, not complex series. It didn’t turn me down and somewhat scratch the itch that need to be scratching. It is an anime that summarizes what I need in life right now. This series is slow, relaxing, and satisfying to watch kinda like those cake videos on youtube. It is nice.
This is my review of the things that happened on it.
Dragon girls doing dragon things
Dragons are usually large creatures that eat a lot of things on their way. Raging from wild animals to other beings on their way. This is the depiction of any other fiction out there that dragons carnivorous creatures that like to eat a lot. They didn’t care much about how others see them because dragons are a creature that doesn’t care much about their prey and the food.
In this episode that is exactly what is happening. This dragon is somewhat hungry for meat and when they heard that there are boars around the village causing havoc amongst the farmers. The dragons didn’t hesitate to go for it and be able to have a chance to eat meat for once. In this episode, they go hunting for wild meat.
I can’t blame these girls. I myself am fond of meat. Meat with there juicy and tender texture that melts in your mouth. The sweetness and savory taste of each and every cut of the meat enter your taste buds. The proteins it will give to your body as it goes and fills your stomach. The smell of the meat that makes your mouth watery. Meat is really good, I like meat. Killing those boars is justifiable.
The blue dragon being naked
There is this funny scene where the blue dragon goes around naked running in the forest. She is somewhat finding wearing clothes uncomfortable. Wearing cloth is a bother to her that is why she goes around running naked while killing boars. The scene is somewhat funny if you ask me. A girl running around naked is funny. I guess
Witch of the highlands impostor
Amugus. An impostor is impersonating the witch of the highlands in this episode. It is kinda sus when there are rumors on the village that the elf’s company is at. That the witch of the highland will revisit the village, it is kinda sus because the people of that town didn’t recognize the real witch of the highlands herself on that village. The protagonist on this show needs to find the imposter.
Turns out the impostor is the red one. She is also a witch, a red-colored hair. She was the one that caused the sussy wossy baka rumors on the village. Naturally, the real witch of the highlands challenges the impostor witch of the highlands to a dual. But in the end, the real witch of the highlands, let go of the fact that she was impersonating her in that village.
The fact, that someone is impersonating you and making scenes using your name should be punished. However, the witch of the highlands didn't do that to her. She let go of the fact that someone is using her name in that village. In fact that she advises the witch, how to get known by the public in the village. The real witch of the highlands is nice.
Being nice is good and all but the reality isn’t. The fact that there is this saying “nice guys finished last” really tells that the real world is a brutal place. If you do nice things to other people that doesn’t mean they automatically do good things to you back. Being nice is good but the reality isn’t. Humanity should sometimes do harsh things to execute justice. You won’t be able to have peace in your country if you are all nice and let the criminals running around choosing havoc. Sometimes, being nice to others won’t work.
However, the witch of the highland has some kind of mercy that is rather admirable. She let go of the fact that there is an impostor that is using her name for their purpose. It was a virtue. The witch has a dignified virtue. It is purity that heals the world. Even though others might do a terrible thing to you. If you have virtue and cleanness of heart, the heavens will reward you. Fate will be in your favor.
Humanity is a walking contradiction
There is this scene in the anime where the red witch wants to be a celebrity but she doesn’t want to be well known. How on earth that you want to be a celebrity but you don’t want to be well known. It is a contradiction. Humanity is an illogical creature that walks the earth. It is illogical for a human to reach and walk on the moon But in the end, humanity walks on the moon. It is illogical for humanity to climb Mount Everest, but in the end, humanity climb on Mount Everest. I agree with the witch of the highlands on this one. She said that humanity is humanity because of the contradiction and illogical decisions we make in our daily lives. Contradiction is what separates humanity from any other species in existence.
It was a satisfying episode with some funny elements on it when the blue dragon running around naked killing boars for food. I also liked that there is some Sus amugus impostor on this episode impersonating the witch of the highlands. Turns out that the witch only wants to be famous that is why she impersonates the witch
