This is my review of the third episode of the show called aquatope on the white sand. It is an anime about people taking care of fish in a large aquarium. It is a slice-of-life anime about cute girls doing fishy things. The granddaughter of the aquarium is now the director of the business named kukuru. She was the one that took care of the stuff that happened in the aquarium. She is the one managing all that happened in that place even though she is still in high school. She is running a business on her own with the help of her grandfather and the people surrounding her. The concept of this anime, looks cool, in my opinion.
The penguin’s checkup
In this episode, our protagonist checks up on a penguin. It was the penguin that thrust its beak in the butt of the idol girl from episode two. I know right, it is a pretty guffy penguin if you asked me. Anyways, that penguin is scheduled to have a check-up. They will check up on its weight or somethings. They will check up on the circumstances that happening on its body. It turns out it has some kind of disease on its foot because of the circumstances that the penguin had on the aquarium. Usually, penguins are run on the wild ocean with no boundaries on their feet. It got wounds on its feet that got from being on that aquarium
Kukuru acting independent
In this episode, kukuru wants to do it all by herself. She doesn’t want her grandfather to help her or ask for advice on the things that are happening to the penguin. She probably wants to learn all by herself when she thinks about the circumstances. Figures, because she probably thinks her grandpa isn’t going to last very long. So she is practicing acting independently on taking care of the aquarium. I don’t usually disagree with her, in fact, I am routing for the kukuru to do her best on running her aquarium business.
Kai is doing a part-time job on the aquarium
I got a feeling that kai is the kind of guy that has some kind of romantic feeling towards kukuru. He is Kukuru's childhood friend that is been with them for a long time now. Both of them are friends since they were children. Usually, childhood friends on the opposite side of gender tend to be ended up with each other when they grow up. Kai definitely has a romantic feeling towards kukuru but kukuru is probably too dense to notice it.
The pregnant doctor
It was a heartwarming episode where the doctor that checked the penguins is pregnant. Usually, on anime, there isn’t any pregnant screen time of any clips on the show. But in this show, aquatope on the white sand draws some kind of pregnant woman on the anime. Putting some kind of pregnant woman on the anime somewhat makes the anime more interesting, in my opinion.
I also have someone I knew that is pregnant and recently delivered her baby to a hospital. All the feelings I felt when knowing about her pregnancy and delivery, the same feeling I felt watching this episode. The feeling of worry is the delivery is going to be successful. The feeling of curiosity, whether the baby will be a boy or girl. All this feeling I felt while watching the episode is somewhat what I also feel in real life, which is pretty cool and timely, I am amazed LOL.
It was a wholesome episode because of the pregnant doctor that gives birth to a very cute baby. Even though kukuru’s acting selfishly on this episode, luckily Kai is there to help them with the penguin situation.
