K-pop, Hollywood stars, YouTubers, popular bands, singers, and dances. These are the type of entertainment we consume in our daily life. Depending on your taste, you can find yourself be a “Fan” of something. Maybe you found Justine beivers songs lit or your favorite K-pop BTS dance’s enjoyable. Being a fan of something is actually pretty normal in our modern culture and even medieval times with Mozart and Beethoven. In this blog, I will try to tell the appeal of Japanese pop culture, The “IDOLS” in particular.
They are cute

Most of the actresses and actors we see on tv usually have a pretty or good-looking face, and idols maximize this trait. Japanese idol with their Japanese Asian beauty is really good to look at. The Japanese beauty is unique because they were adorable in some cases. They’re cute and beautiful, one that will make any person who sees them melt on their cuteness. It is natural to a human to find affinity to cute things since it is deeply ingrained in our subconscious. We as human wants something beautiful, and our natural instinct is to protect that beautiful thing. In our case, the appeal we have with idols is that because we find them cute and are drawn to what is beautiful.
They are good at dancing

Dancing is a part of human culture since it was founded. We human beings used dancing in ancient times as a way to worships the gods of the times. And now we slowly turned it into something different, we used dance now as a form of entertainment. In the modern age, we found these dances entertaining because we can see that it touches us. Idol dances, in particular, is appealing not only because they are a cute girl doing the dancing but also some of the dances are actually good. We as human beings are naturally drawn to what is appealing and beautiful. Maybe this is the reason why we appeal to the dance of our favorite k-pop or j-pop groups. The second appeal of idol groups is that they are good at dancing also.
They have good voices

We don't listen to songs? Even in medieval times, songs were again used as a way to worship the gods of the times. The human being offers their good voices to something and Song and hymns is deeply ingrained in our subconscious. And now in the modern age, we found these songs entertaining. We see our idols who had lovely voices offer those songs for us, the idol fans. We can see the amount of practice our idols have and we appreciate their effort in putting up a song for us.
The Fans with idol concert glowsticks

Have you been to an idol concert before? If weren't, you should go and find one for the experience. If you enter these concerts you will notice that most of these idol concerts have a glowstick for mostly everyone. They wave it and make this beautiful scene in the concert hall. Some people even don’t care about the idol group. They were there for the beautiful scenery of the concert and to participate in it. This culture is fairly unique only to the Japanese idol culture. You won’t see this at a Justine beiver concert and a few in k-pop concerts. Another appeal on the Japanese idols is the way the fans interact with their idols using glowsticks on the concert is worth attending and see for yourself. It is a beautiful scene.
The Idol community isn’t toxic

The idol community wasn’t as toxic as k-pop who would cancel anyone on Twitter because they hurt their favorite k-pop group. This is due to the fact that most of them were Japanese people. Japanese isn’t America. Japanese usually are conservative types of people who don’t care that much about involving a drama on social media.
To sum up this blog, idol fans liked their Idol groups because they are cutes with good voices singing and dancing for their fans. The concerts are super beautiful because the fans aren’t toxic.
